Material
The two primary materials I use are brass and bronze.
Brass has a beautiful regal yellow gold colour and bronze has a warm brown earthy hue to it. Both metals can have patinas applied to them, from lightly aged to blackened.
Texture
Unlike most hardware, all of my products are sand cast; a method that has existed for millennia, this technique for casting produces variety and texture in each object that is impossible to reproduce. I finish each peice carefully using files to maintain the tactile history of how each object was made.
